Completed in 2014 by Abramson Architects, this single-family condominium is located in Brentwood and owned by a client who wants to have a sophisticated and custom living space. The client, a bachelor, has purchased this condominium that came with standard finishes and a claustrophobic layout. With a new level of luxury, Darlington Residence turns into the best living space for the client.
Design
The condominium walls are removed to create a spacious floorplan and a more usable flow in it. There is minimal white cabinetry accented with a dark stone on the counters in the kitchen that waterfalls at the bar’s edge. This way can give a European-style kitchen for the client that blends in well with the entire space. Supplemented by counter seating, the dining table is transformed into a full-size ping pong table.
Accents
A gallery-like space is designed with as toned wood floors and crisp white walls to complement the young collector artwork. With a hint of blue, the light and beachy palette continues in the custom sofa upholstery and accents. In the furniture, masculine accents can be seen on refurbished industrial wheels on the coffee table.
Details
A memorable modernization can be found in the bathroom through the beautiful marble work. These are awesome details that elevate the condominium space to a new level of amazing luxury. The design is also highlighted by the custom lighting throughout the interior space. A spacious outdoor deck is tailored to the needs of the client while the retractable awning is added to control the trellises and sun exposure above the perimeter walls to provide green scenery and extra privacy.
