St-Joseph Loft is a 2018 renovation project of a loft by Bourgeois Lechasseur Architectes. This bedroom loft is located in the Saint-Roch district of Quebec City and transformed into a more intimate, quiet and warm space to meet the need of the client.
Design
The transformation of this loft is based on the client’s passionate about reading and art. The client wants to have an opportunity to enjoy the hectic life of the neighborhood and also an opportunity to isolate themselves in the night. With a simple design, this loft can provide them a quiet and comfortable place to relax.
Interior
The loft interior has plywood panels to give the space a unique and different character that contrasts with the light colors of the entire home. The clients also can control the degree of the room opening with the removable panels. Inside, a small bed is placed to complete the comfortable feeling in this warm space.
