The rehabilitation of this storage shed building is dedicated to the house of associations and also the youth enter. Youth House and House of Associations is a 2019 project by Lemoal Lemoal Architects who work with some engineers. With an isolated situation, the construction is designed with a metal frame wrapped in a steel tank that makes it looks modern and unique at the same time.
Structure
The metal frame in this building is wrapped in a steel tank, used to signal its reconversion by a strong character and unique look. The steel tray is painted in black while most of the walls and ceilings are painted in white. There are some garage doors that positioned on a pinion. Those doors are replaced and enlarged by some glazed frames.
Floors
The volume of Youth House and House of Associations is divided into two levels. This separation is done by adding a collaboration of a mezzanine floor. Each program of this building design has its own floor. The youth home is located on the ground floor while the home of associations can be found on the first level of the building. Each of them also has an entrance on one of some gables.
Details
Some polycarbonate panels upstairs are partitioned to empower the home associations without reducing the supply of natural light. The blocks compartment parts are located on the ground floor of the building and painted in white. With a small budget, this project is also made in a collaboration with the association of local graffiti artists.
