A bare shell home called Days of Gold and Velvet is designed by HAO DESIGN with a vintage interior and an artistic atmosphere. With 172 square meters of the total area, this home is located in Kaohsiung with a married couple of retired dentists as the owner. They love to have a home with vintage style and the soft texture of flannel.
Interior
The interior has a rearrangement with its long and narrow form. The vintage interior design comes from the different furniture and materials that the designer chooses. The way of the designer put and arrange the lighting also support the vintage interior to be more antique and warm.
Rooms
The arrangement remains the layout into some rooms, a living room, a dining room, and three bedrooms. Each room is large and giving a lot of space for the owner to move. There is also a working area with a beautiful desk and chair on the corner of the room.
Details
The vintage interior design goes perfectly into the whole rooms in Days of Gold and Velvet. There is an iron-black lacquer sliding door between the study room and bedroom, creating a multifunctional room. The kitchen is separated from a storage room, integrated with an open dining and living room.
Furniture
Some types of furniture are used to design and decor the vintage interior. The Ginger & Jagger console table has some legs that are camouflaged as branches of a copper-plated fig tree. There is also a Porada white marble table with metallic perforations and oval-shaped copper base, adding an artistic look.
Materials
The warm wood-texture brown in the kitchen and dining room can be a bright copper tone for the vintage interior design. There is also an amber mirror in the atrium, magnifying the vision field. Those materials match well with the Castellani & Smith crescent shaped copper metallic lamp to give warmer atmosphere.
Decoration
HAO DESIGN uses a fabric texture to support the vintage look. The blue curtains are used in the living room, adding a soft effect. The soft facade is also created from the universal movable board which is attached to the flannel, it fits well with the fabric textures theme.
Atmosphere
The vintage interior in Days of Gold and Velvet has a relaxed atmosphere. It comes from the midnight blue color of the bar and cabinets. Those things can make a simple background of the furniture designs, providing a tasteful home interior design with an elegant, insightful lifestyle.
