Desert Wing: A Contemporary, Minimalist Home with Awesome Lake View

Desert Mountain Contemporary or Desert Wing is a residential project by Kendle Design located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The project is not only about making a contemporary, minimalist home but also integrating it with the natural environment on the site location. The best thing from Desert Wing is its awesome lake view that can be seen right from the home.

Design

The owner has a great vision of contemporary and minimalist design for this home, including a respect to the natural environment around it. The home overlooking a golf course and also has a good orientation to the lake view.

Features

The view around this home is designed carefully to get a maximum look both from the interior and exterior. It also meets the owner desire to have a high level of privacy from a see-through home. There are some features used to design the whole home.

The features like glass extensive use for the views, rammed-earth walls, a soaring roof form, operable windows, and clad in copper allow the home to “breathe” easily. Even it is a see-through home, those features give a privacy at a high level.

Landscape

The landscape on the east side can provide promote and also privacy the outdoor living area. The design of this landscape is made with an awesome collaboration between the architect with Floor & Associates. The architect also works together with Jack Wosniak to design the interior.
