Dreaming of Light: An Open Space Apartment Presenting Romantic Interior Design

Tobi Architects was in charge of designing the interior for an open space apartment at RC Duet. The residential building is situated in Dnipro, Ukraine. For the project which was finished in 2016, Tobi Architects inserted romantic idea called Dreaming of Light.

The idea fits for the young couple who lives in the unit. This 180-meter-square apartment was built in the style of open space or free open space.

The Dreaming of Light is applied in every zone, such as living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, children’s rooms, dressing room, the main bathroom, and a guest bathroom. In addition, the beautiful view outside was captured by the existing panoramic windows. The views also help create an interior that is light and airy with light colors.

While the apartment is dominated by white walls, the design team added more accents or decoration to avoid blandness. For instance, several sections of the wall are decorated by painting in bright green tones to offer freshness to the interior.

The furniture was also carefully selected to add accents for the right mood as well as to emphasize the interior features.  The children’s bedroom looks softer with a neutral color palette and pink upholstery on the couch. There is also an indoor white swing and toys for children to play with.
