Shipwire is a high-tech firm in charge of designing software that aligns worldwide shipping logistics. Based at 435 Indio Way, Sunnyvale, California, the firm has a far-reaching perspective regarding workplace sustainability and flexibility.
That being the case, the firm appointed RMW Architecture & Interiors to realize a design that is in line with their perspective. Referred to the firm’s desired design, RMW decided to incorporate Net Zero Energy design for the firm’s office building. A Net Zero Energy is a highly sustainable design concept which fits Shipwire’s work environment.
Paired with glass-enclosed meeting spaces, individual benched workstations are designed to maintain airy and light vibes in the office. Since the employees like to meet spontaneously, RMW designed a variety of collaborative spaces and a lot of whiteboard surfaces to accommodate the work style.
Simple and honest interior finishes were combined with touches of color that glow under the existing 43 skylights. The office also comes with an employee break room that opens onto a back patio with bocce ball and raised-bed vegetable gardens.
