The work culture of LSI is “pop and buzz”. This phrase is made by the LSI employees to describe how they work with their awesome ideas. With such a quick growth, LSI hired RMW to renovate the two-building R&D campus for their 850 employees. The challenge of these big buildings renovation is about embodying the dynamic collaborative energy in it.
Renovation
The renovation is done on the two buildings with 234,000 square feet in a total area. This area includes 25,000 square feet of a lab space and also 7,500 square feet area of a data center. RMW also renovates more than 60 conferences on those buildings.
Challenge
The main challenge of the LSI Corporation Headquarters Campus renovation is creating the dynamic collaborative energy. This energy hopefully will increase the employee energy to make more great ideas for working together inside the building.
Spaces
The buildings have some informal and formal meeting spaces to describe the “buzz” phrase. There are internet cafes, a full-service cafeteria, outdoor and indoor seating lounges too. The walkways can connect the game rooms, fitness center, executive office suites, and the customer briefing center.
Interior
The “pop” phrase can be seen on some parts inside the building interior such as the two living “green walls”, playful carpet elements, wall graphics, and also bright color palette. The color elements make the interior looks fresh.
Windows
The large windows around the buildings are not only creating an elegant design for the interior but also allowing the beautiful view around the building to be seen clearly. The big staircases also offer a great view of the ground floor below.
