Greerton Library: A Traditional Library into A Modern One as Community Knowledge Hubs

Greerton Library 4

The main design idea of Greerton Library is about the redevelopment of a building with a new community focused hub based on the people need in Greerton. With a range of best facilities, this library can focus on the opportunities and amenity. It becomes a traditional library into a modern one with a strong character and comfortable spaces to meet friends, study, and learn about digital technology.

The project team worked together with the cultural groups, action groups, library staff, and also other stakeholders for this library design. The construction itself is completed for eight months and the opening ceremony for the public is held in mid-2016.

Interior

Greerton Library has a modern interior with colorful design. The floor is decorated with the grey warm rug and the wall is a combination of awesome yellow color and black. Each space is divided with a large glass wall, making the interior looks elegant too.

Evolution

Greerton Library 1

This library has a strong digital presence for all visitors. Greerton Library can be a good evolution of how a library can grow from a place to study and learn the books traditionally into community knowledge hubs with some additional facilities.
