Résidence Piroches-sur-Mer was designed by Anne Carrier to look like the goose flying towards the sky, looking for the way to the sea. It is located in La Malbaie, Quebec, and perched on the side of a hillside that overlooks the surrounding landscape.
Résidence Piroches-sur-Mer
Résidence Piroches-sur-Mer comprises two volumes. Each volume has its own distinctive features as well as functions dedicated to public and private areas.
The first is a volume with black wood cladding containing private rooms, such as master bedroom, bathroom, and cloakroom.
The wing part of this volume is unfolded above the living space.
The second volume uses steel to make a little bit of contrast with the former.
It houses living spaces like living room, dining area, and kitchen. The wing for this volume is set up under these spaces.
Warm and Bright Living Place
The two volumes and wings were organized in order to create an open living place with warm and bright atmosphere. All of these structures were laid on a solid stone base.
Meanwhile, Résidence Piroches-sur-Mer overlooks the Charlevoix landscape, providing amazing views that can be enjoyed even from the inside of the house.
