The Lost Angeles office of Brand New School, an advertising and interactive media studio, designed by 1100 Architect, the firm that previously designed their office in New York. The project was finished in 2012 with the intention of transforming two adjacent former auto shops into a collaborative and open work environment.

Due to the 1100 Architect’s successful project for New York office of Brand New School, the firm was again appointed to handle the design, but this time for the Los Angeles office.

For this project, the firm went with open workstation layout for the production team. It was arranged in the center of the space for the production team to use.

From there, you can also see semi-private glass-enclosed offices intended for creative directors at the periphery.

Full-Height Glass Partitions

The installation of the full-height glass partitions separates these two areas, offering acoustical separation while keeping visual communication in the space intact. Enclosed conference rooms are arranged to offer privacy when required.

Breakout Areas and Lounge

Both lounges and breakout areas are placed in the same room for teamwork and collaboration purposes.

The color of blue, yellow, and orange from the lounge furniture makes a contrast to the neutral-colored wall.
