LPA Inc completed a project for the Coastline Community College Newport Beach Campus in 2012. The project was conducted in Newport Beach, California. It was designed to attain LEED Gold certifications. Meanwhile, the building has received several awards, such as awards from AIA CAE National Design and IESNA.
The Campus
The Coastline Community College Newport Beach Campus consists of approximately 66,800 square feet of programming, landscape, and hardscape.
Aside from that, the firm was also in charge of constructing a 260 space on-site parking lot adjacent to the building structure.
Key Sustainable Features
The building showcases key sustainable features, such as natural ventilation, living walls, stormwater management, maximized views of the ocean and natural lights, and green roofs.
All these features are highlighted and designed for LEED Gold certification as well as to surpass Title 24 standards by 33%.
