Cal Poly Pomona Student Recreation Center is a 120,000-square-foot Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex facility constructed by LPA Inc and finished in 2014. Located in Pomona, California, the facility project funded by student fees to provide ultramodern technology for health and fitness purposes.
Cal Poly Pomona Student Recreation Center
Cal Poly Pomona Student Recreation Center is LPA Inc’s 4th student recreation center project within the California State University system, including Sonoma State University, Cal State East Bay, and Cal State Northridge.
For this project, the architectural firm established a recreational center in operation. The existing facility in the recreation center has been acknowledged with design awards from the National Intramural Recreation and Sports Associations and other local AIA chapters.
The Facilities
What Cal Poly Pomona Student Recreation Center has in store is three basketball courts, five fitness studio for martial arts, aerobics, dance and spinning, two racquetball courts, a cardio and weight lifting area, and a multi-activity court [MCA].
The recreation center also provides a recreation and lap pool, a 50-foot rock climbing wall, and a juice bar. Meanwhile, the recreation center project has obtained the LEED Gold certification from the U.S Green Building Council.
