Corona del Mar High School Performing Arts Center
This building is situated at one end of the central quad and functioned as the heart of the campus.
The building also displays a classic architecture through its plaster and low concrete. Overall, it resembles those brick mid-century 1960s buildings.
The Exterior Access
Corona Del Mar High School Performing Arts Center provides exterior access to the black box theater, allowing the students to use an experimental space on day to day basis.
It also includes promenade which is used as the main path of travel for the students. When it comes to the promenade, it acts as the campus pride and is able to draw the theater visitors along its glowing edge and lead them to the main entrance of this 29,000 square foot building.
Career Building Environment
With the intention of establishing a career building environment, the arts center offers a main auditorium with 350 seats, scene shop, dressing rooms, a small black box theater, and green room.
It also provides instrumental and choral classrooms to support the students’ activities.
