Forge & Bow focused on functionality while modernizing the kitchen, revamping the layout, and refinishing key areas for a young family of five in this Mid-Century Craftsman home. Mid-Century Craftsman Kitchen Renovation is an interior design and renovation project that seamlessly blend function and style.
A copper hood and soapstone countertops are the family’s two primary requests for the kitchen design. The soapstone counters add character while the stained black cabinets provide not too contrasting of a feeling.
Forge & Bow also added multiple skylights to maximize natural light and tailored millwork around the original trusses of the house to highlight the architectural detail.
The blend of the family’s love for craftsman design and the home’s mid-century style is further reflected in the foyer’s wall detail, painted in Benjamin Moore’s Sussex Green.
The result of this project is a beautiful kitchen for a young family of five where a copper hood and soapstone countertops are the main highlights.
