Introducing the latest project of Kvadrat Architects: “Black and white, openness and privacy, laconism and coziness – in the apartment of designer Rustam Minnekhanov.” It is Rustam Minnekhanov’s Masterpiece with a symphony of luxury and harmony at Capital Park Water Residential Complex.
It is a 100 square meter space located next to the Presidential Park and the lake inside the block. Apartment owners and their guests have exclusive access to the private water body and the natural oasis of Sfera Park.
The apartments in the Capital Park Water Residential Complex are designed with windows on three sides, offering the most appealing views of the area. The living area, intentionally occupying half of the apartment, creates a sense of spaciousness and openness for the whole family. This area includes spaces for entertainment, movie-watching, and a kitchen with an island where the designer personally prepares and serves tapas, bruschetta, and cocktails.
It was possible to avoid areas for moving in this apartment, cutting the interior. The corridor, serving as a portal to the private areas like the bedroom and bathrooms, is designed in dark tones, enhancing the environment’s geometry without inviting you to continue your way.
The Private Area
The bedroom, enveloped in dark tones, creates a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxation and renewal. This choice of shades is balanced by the abundance of natural light streaming in through two large windows on opposite sides, ensuring the space remains bright and inviting.
Dark colors seem to erase the boundaries and hide sharp shapes – a consequence of technical nuances in the hallway. Dark colors in the hallway create a seamless look, masking sharp shapes and technical details. A catwalk, which conceals the utility lines, extends from the entrance along the wall to the bed, offering both aesthetic appeal and functionality as a nightstand. The handleless cabinet blends with the wall panels, giving the space a visually deeper appearance. These deep shades also enhance the night lighting, creating a cohesive and inviting ambiance.
Bathroom
The coolness of stone and the warmth of wood can be found in the bathroom. Natural light is refracted through the glass next to the mirror and reflected by the graphite stone, creating a beautiful interplay of light. The bathtub is recessed into the floor to retain warmth and enhance relaxation. A custom-made concrete sink adds a unique touch, while wood panels balance the stone’s coolness, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
Color Therapy
The second bathroom in the designer’s apartment is dedicated to restoring harmony between body and soul.
RGB lighting and a translucent ceiling provide chromotherapy, transforming a simple shower into a rejuvenating ritual with water, light, and color. This pleasant and beneficial experience enhances overall well-being.
The bathroom features distinct dry and wet zones, defined by geometric lines, which clarify their respective purposes. Microcement was used to ensure a seamless look without visible joints, maintaining the space’s aesthetic integrity and coherence.
