A’ Design Awards & Competition – Winners

A’ Design Awards & Competition is a fair, ethical, and competitive competition that recognizes excellence in design across various disciplines. It is one of the world’s largest and most prominent international design awards that provides a platform for designers to showcase their work on a global stage, enhancing their visibility and professional opportunities.

A’ Design Awards & Competition is relevant for designers as it offers validation from industry experts, increases brand awareness, and also provides networking opportunities. Additionally, all winners will also receive A’ Design Prize, a comprehensive and extensive winners’ kit to celebrate their success and victory.

A’ Design Awards 2023-2024 Winners Announced

A’ Design Awards & Competition has announced the best designs of 2023-2024. There are 1642 Winners from 114 countries in 151 different design disciplines. All entries underwent meticulous evaluation by an internationally renowned jury panel consisting of esteemed scholars, prominent members of the press, skilled design professionals, and seasoned entrepreneurs. Each submission was scrutinized with great care and attention to detail before being voted upon.

A’ Design Award & Competition: 2023 – 2024 Edition Winners

Futurist Architecture has compiled a selection of 20 award-winning projects from the A’ Design Awards 2023-2024 winners in the interior space and exhibition design category. By showcasing these exceptional projects, we aim to demonstrate how outstanding designs truly deserve global recognition and appreciation.

1. Meland Club Indoor Playground by Li Xiang

Designer Li Xiang draws inspiration from the mission to safeguard endangered wildlife for the Meland Club Indoor Playground project, utilizing abstract mechanical designs, vivid colors, and animal motifs to spark a vibrant revival of nature’s wonders. Li Xiang blends architectural logic with mechanical aesthetics in interior design to dismantle the rigid boundaries of mechanical forms and replace them with dynamic rhythms that pulse with life.

Li Xiang is the founder of X+Living Architectural Design in Shanghai who won international recognition with a series of top international awards.

2. Yinchuang Zhong Shu Ge Book Store by Masato Kure and Masashi Ota

The inspiration for Yinchuang Zhong Shu Ge Book Store comes from the notion of intersection that symbolizes a powerful convergence where diverse paths and elements unite at a singular nexus. This bookstore embodies the dynamic essence of Ningxia’s cultural fusion with a focus on capturing the essence of this region’s allure through intuitive spatial design as the design ethos. Bookshelves crossing in mid-air is the striking architectural feature in this project.

Masato Kure and Masashi Ota are the designers behind this awesome interior project.

3. Royal One Private Club House by Kris Lin

The interior design of Royal One Private Club House is inspired by timeless concepts with two key pillars: Inclusivity and Harmony of the Circle and Integration of Natural Elements. The distinctive features are a private club designed for an owner and a comprehensive array of amenities spanning four above-ground levels and one below.

It is a spectacular interior design project by Kris Lin, the founder of Kris Lin International Design.

4. Amar Beirut Restaurant by Marina Khalil

The interior design of Amar Beirut Restaurant finds its roots in a dual aspiration: infusing Warsaw’s dining scene with the allure of a museum ambiance while celebrating the richness of traditional culture that is notably absent until now. Situated within the sprawling 2-hectare expanse of the Norblin Factory in Warsaw’s Wola district, this restaurant breathes new life into a neglected relic of post-industrial architecture.

This amazing interior design project was designed by Marina Khalil, an experienced designer and speaker in international interviews and events from MK Design.

5. Shanghai Qian Mo Fu Restaurant Interior Design by Hong Liu

A place where tradition meets modernity, Shanghai Qian Mo Fu Restaurant is defined as an elegant tapestry inspired by the serene beauty of the Orient. Each element embodies a poetic fluidity, drawing from the rhythmic patterns found in nature. A dining experience that is reminiscent of a mountain canyon retreat within the confines of an urban concrete structure has been successfully made.

6. Unbounded Office by Kris Lin

Unbounded Office endeavors to craft a dynamic, open-concept workspace that transcends boundaries. By incorporating contemporary materials like mirrors and stainless steel, the aim is to extend and amplify the spatial dimensions infinitely, fostering a sense of boundless freedom within the environment. At the heart of this project lies the transformation of the corporate chairman’s office into a versatile, multifunctional hub that embodies the ethos and operational needs of the company.

It is an amazing interior design project by Kris Lin, the founder of Kris Lin International Design.

7. Unilever Istanbul Office Design by Yalin Tan

Much like Gaudi’s reverence for nature, the designer’s vision for Unilever Istanbul Office Design was to infuse the space with organic, flowing forms, abstractly mirroring the beauty of the natural world. The inspiration draws from amorphous shapes found in nature. This project is a testament to Unilever’s commitment to inclusivity and sustainability.

This awesome project was designed by Yalin Tan for Yalın Tan + Partners, a multidisciplinary team from Turkey.

8. Chanba Poly Theatre by Renata Yin

Drawing inspiration from the majestic scenery along the Chan River, Chanba Poly Theatre stands as a testament to the city’s rich heritage. Serving as the crown jewel of the Chanba Silk Road International Cultural and Art Center, this architectural masterpiece embodies a unique blend of tradition and innovation. With its captivating design and visionary concept, this theatre is poised to become a focal point for cultural exchange.

9. Beijing Wangfujing Xiyue Shopping Mall by Xia Gushuyu Commercial Space Design

Nestled in the heart of Beijing’s cultural core, Beijing Wangfujing Xiyue Shopping Mall embraces its historic surroundings with a fresh perspective, embodying China’s commercial evolution. This project redefines the concept of a shopping mall, emerging as a cultural epicenter pulsating with youthful energy. Seamlessly blending traditional culture with cutting-edge technology, this mall stands as a beacon of innovation and creativity.

It is a spectacular project designed by Xia Gushuyu Commercial Space Design, a design agency from China.

10. Supa Fama Restaurant and Bar by Shelley Mock

Supa Fama Restaurant and Bar embodies a juxtaposition of the mechanical and the natural, the structured and the organic, akin to a steampunk rendition of the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It is not just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients. The use of quality produce educates diners on the significance of knowing the source of their food. This ethos is woven into every aspect of the design, reminiscent of a rustic farmer’s greenhouse bursting with vibrant flora.

The creative designer behind this awesome project is Shelley Mock from China.

11. World Laureates Forum Permanent Site by Yong Wen and Chengfeng He

The interior of the World Laureates Forum Permanent Site takes inspiration from the ethereal dance of sunlight and clouds, weaving together a tapestry of tranquility and dynamism. Rooted in the essence of the Lingang New Area, the design pays homage to its maritime and celestial surroundings, reimagining them through a lens of modern minimalism. It serves not only as a hub for intellectual exchange but also as a testament to China’s commitment to fostering global scientific progress.

This awesome project was designed by Yong Wen and Chengfeng He for Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Decoration & Landscape Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.

12. Zhumadian Hotel Design by Guo Xiangyu

Infused with the spirit of traditional architecture, the lobby of Zhumadian Hotel Design exudes a sense of rationality and refined simplicity. The restaurant draws inspiration from the serene beauty of ink landscape paintings, integrating ink elements into its walls and furnishings. This awesome project pays homage to the region’s rich heritage and breathtaking natural landscapes with a design that seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary elements.

It is an awesome interior design by Guo Xiangyu, the founder of Puyu Architectural Decoration Design.

13. Arcteryx Sanlitun Flagship Store by Arcteryx and Still Young

Arcteryx Sanlitun Flagship Store‘s facade is a bold composition of gray rocks adorned with glass, creating a visually striking yet unmistakably memorable identity for the brand. The design team hunted for fallen dead trees in the forest and transformed them into decorative columns by slicing and encasing them in glass. Each space within the store is meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of exploration and connection with nature, offering a unique experience for outdoor enthusiasts and loyal brand aficionados alike.

14. Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi’an Mural Art by Jansword Zhu

The expansive murals at Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi’an Mural Art are the hotel’s standout art feature. Spanning 61 meters in length and rising 5 meters high, these murals reflect the theme “The Whisper of Silk and The Song of Horses.” They offer a modern artistic representation of the Silk Road’s origins and the rich cultural heritage of Xi’an.

This awesome and unique project was designed by Jansword Zhu.

15. Artifact Bar by Nelson Chow

Artifact Bar is a hidden speakeasy bar nestled behind a secret passage in BaseHall, Hong Kong’s latest luxury food hall located in Central. Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic and repetitive patterns of surreal geometry and the tranquil ambiance of underground cisterns, Artifact offers a mysterious and captivating escape, inviting guests into a unique and unforgettable experience that feels otherworldly.

This bar’s amazing interior design was designed by Nelson Chow for Hong Kong Land.

16. Guangzhou Zhujiang Tianli Sales Center by Anaura

The design of the Guangzhou Zhujiang Tianli Sales Center draws inspiration from interstellar space, utilizing dynamic material collisions and fission to explore new possibilities in display spaces. It primarily serves as a sales center, designed with an innovative approach to foster sensory interactions between people and the environment and create a unique experience.

This spectacular project was designed by Anaura for An-Aura, a design agency from China.

17. Tianxia Chuanjiang Exhibition Center by Yutao Song and Ying Chen

Inspired by the geographic and cultural essence of its location, the design of the Tianxia Chuanjiang Exhibition Center centers around Chuanjiang culture. It aims to blend modern oriental aesthetics with a fusion of traditional and contemporary, eastern and western influences, creating a humanistic and welcoming commercial reception space.

The awesome interior design of this exhibition center was designed by Yutao Song and Ying Chen for Shenzhen Lushang Design Co, Ltd.

18. Nubank Corporate interior by Juan Carlos Baumgartner

The design concept of Nubank Corporate Interior centers on creating a social network that serves as a robust framework, capable of supporting and integrating the fluidity of modern life. During the design process, the challenge was to establish a cohesive spatial narrative that aligns with Nubank’s purpose and mission: providing a more accessible, transparent, and efficient banking experience.

The man behind this awesome project is Juan Carlos Baumgartner, an award-winning designer from Mexico.

19. Yangguang City No.9 Residential House by Saiwen Liu

Yangguang City No.9 Residential House emphasizes optimizing space by arranging functional layouts for efficient traffic flow and incorporating aesthetic principles into practical design. Inspired by FengHuang, the immortal bird in Chinese mythology symbolizing balance and harmony, the design features orderly wall shapes reminiscent of a breeze through flowing phoenix tail feathers.

It is an amazing interior design project of a house designed by Saiwen Liu.

20. Residence H Residential Space by Chen Li An

The design process of Residence H Residential Space aimed to blend the homeowner’s tastes with the house’s original charm. As the homeowner works in the music industry, the streamlined design reflects the smooth flow of music, with open public spaces that can serve as a performance venue. The interior palette features earthy tones, harmonizing with the lush, natural surroundings.

This residential project is an awesome work designed by Chen Li An, a professional interior designer from Taipei, Taiwan.
