Cove 6: Spectacular Setting with Tactile and Warm Materials

Cove 6 2

SAOTA completed a 2006 residential project called Cove 6. This house is located in Knysna, South Africa. It sits on the cliff edges of The Cove at Pezula in Knysna. The main idea of this project is to allow one to experience a spectacular setting from inside the house.

Tactile and warm materials such as timber, honed stone, and rough are used to enhance the overall experience. With its design, this single residence offers a cozy living place where one can enjoy the panoramic views of the surroundings.

This project can be your main inspiration to design a spectacular house that has a strong connection to its surrounding nature.
