In 2018, Condon Scott Architects has been completed a residential project called Peninsula Bay House. Located on an elevated suburban section, it is a comfortable and well-appointed contemporary home perfect for enjoying impressive views of Treble Cone and Lake Wanaka.
This house successfully offers privacy from the street. Its simple mono-pitched design is developed to create a sheltered private courtyard with a generous seating area and a large outdoor fireplace.
For the material, this house is clad in dark-stained, vertical cedar with black window joinery. As a result, this house can provide a clean, understated presence on the suburban street and a sense of privacy for the homeowner.
The material palette of this house is refined and simple: the ceiling is Southland Beech, the walls are white, and the floors are oak.
