Designed by Kazunori Fujimoto Architect & Associates, House in Ropponmatsu is a three-floor house located in the city area nearby the center of Fukuoka city. It has a well-lighted and well-opened interior, providing a cozy space that feels spacious for the inhabitants.
Design
The site’s shape of this house is narrow and long. The purpose of the house design is not about creating a shade on the north house next door but a three-floor house shaped like an “L”.
The well-lighted and well-opened interior is in contrast with the closed outside which looks like a silent sculptural volume.
Floors
The site’s long distance can be seen at the ground level of the house from the entrance court to the bedroom. Each room in this house is filled with breeze and light from two courts.
A storage and bathroom are on the second floor while another bedroom can be found on the third floor. One can enjoy a wide range of mountain views on the third-floor level.
Details
The site of this project has a simple form that has been transformed into a cozy space for living. The total floor area of this house is 99 m2. The initial design started in 2010 while the construction process started in 2011.
