Completed by Abramson Architects in 2008, organic materials are used to build this 8,500 SQFT house while all major interior spaces receive light from the skylight.
This awesome residence is designed by SkB Architects with a design that comes from the concept of how to create an urban farmhouse. This concept also includes finding a way to push the limits of the usable space of the house within its very restricted footprint. Located in Seattle, WA, ToDD Residence has a white, two-story volume that contains some functional spaces.
It is a remodel project that perched above a ravine in the Washington Park neighborhood of Seattle. Renovated by Prentiss Balance Wickline Architects in 2008, the main focus of Madison Park Remodel is to renovate its south-facing kitchen. This kitchen is flooded with light thanks to the full-height window wall and ridge skylight.
Designed by Abramson Architects, Casper Residence is a single-family residence configured as a single storey to respond to the harsh winter climate of the site. It is a modern residence for a local physician and his family in the rolling hills of Wyoming. Completed in 2008, a low-slung structure anchored in concrete, steel, and wood is designed to contend the site’s challenges.
Located in Tokyo, Japan, House at Hanegi Park is a single-family residence designed by Shigeru Ban Architects. Completed in 2010, this house sits on the corner of an L-shaped street at the top of a slight hill. Two completely different windows are added for the opposite views of the house.
This residential project is started in 2016 and completed in 2019 by Marc Boutin Architectural Collaborative. Courtyard House is located in Calgary, a modern house for the clients who love privacy, nature, and their two tortoises. The animated interior of this house provides good privacy and a bright atmosphere as well.
Completed in 2006 with 3,205 SF in size, Envelope House is a small three-unit structure designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. It sits in a dense Seattle neighborhood, Washington, and slips into its narrow urban site. Two articulated volumes of the building cascade down the sloping site and used to form an elevated central courtyard.
This awesome house is located on 35 acres outside of Whitefish Montana, sits at the edge of a field along the Stillwater River. Stillwater is designed by Prentiss Balance Wickline Architects, offering a natural modern greenhouse design with great views. This house is also completed with a sophisticated climate monitoring system to reduce heating or cooling demand.
This project is an attempt of “machiya” in modern Kyoto by disassembling and reconstructing the design of a traditional machiya for modern life. The materials and space formats for House in Demachi are separated then they are put together by Kazuya Morita Architecture Studio in a new combination.

This residence is located in Waverly, Pennsylvania, designed for the couple to safely age in place on a single level with their favorite elements.
Developed and constructed in 1996 by Jonathan Segal, FAIA, the Brickyard are condos that designed with the help of Joseph Wong. It is an awesome project that won the San Diego Chapter AIA Honor Award in 1995 for the design and development of this steel and wood frame over a project of a concrete garage.
