House P: A Modern House with Nine Rooms for Routine Activities

A design team from PLY+ has been completed a residential project in 2019 called House P. This modern house is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with nine rooms for routine activities. There are two directives posed by the clients, the first is to house their collection of late 20th century artworks and design objects, and the second is to site this project on a shallow, constrained, and steeply sloping site.

S House in Chiba: A Detached House with A Simple Volume and Stairwell as the Main Pivot

It is a 2015 residential project of a detached house by Florian Busch Architects. S House in Chiba sits at the end of a town behind Tokyo’s suburbs with 188 m² in size. It has a simple volume and also a stairwell behind the entrance door of the house that becomes the house’s main pivot. This project is started in 2011 with the use of timber for its structure.

Sea and Garden: A Weekend House with Two Floors for Extraordinary Time

Completed in 2008 by Takao Shiotsuka Atelier, Sea and Garden is a weekend house that has two floors with different functions. Located in Japan, the first floor of this house offers an awesome view of the garden while the second floor offers an amazing view of the sea. These floors are separated clearly so one can have an extraordinary time as a villa in this house by going back and forth between them.

VILLA G 9

VILLA G: An Interpretation of Traditional Danish Brickwork with Panoramic Views

Designed as a private residence with 220 m2 in size, Villa G is an interpretation of traditional Danish brickwork. This residence sits on a hill above the wetlands edging the fjord, outside the Danish town Randers. Together with Niras, KRADS Architecture has been completed this project in 2011 and received the Architecture Prize 2013 from the municipality of Randers, DK.

Holiday Home by Þingvallavatn: A Holiday Home with A Greened Roof

Carefully placed on a densely overgrown hill, Holiday Home by Þingvallavatn is designed by KRADS Architecture for Tina Dickow and Helgi Hrafn Jónsson. Completed in 2020, this house sits on a hill which is sloping north in the direction of the great Lake Þingvallavatn with an awesome landscape. This house also has a greened roof that established as an accessible plane.
