The owner of this weekend house is a young couple and the husband loves everything about modernism. Datuan Villa is located in the countryside of Shanghai named Datuan town, China. Completed in 2018, this 320-sqm-house is a countryside house with a white cube design. Office Coastline uses a modernist approach to design this house, including its interiors and structure.
House T(Int.) is designed by META-Project located in Aranya, Qinhuangdao, China. Started in 2015 and completed in 2017, this house has a series of dynamic spaces and also a feeling of openness that embraces the stunning views. A new spatial experience is recreated in a sustainable way through this house building.
With 277㎡ in size, Stage of Forest offers a unique and sensuous form at the edge of the forest next to the ski slope. This building is located in Ji Lin – a northeastern Chinese province – and it sits the hillside with a panoramic view towards the Songhua Lake and mountain range. Designed with rough materiality, META-project tries to stimulate people to come up with more ideas through this viewing platform.
Shared functional areas on every floor can be found outside the private rooms, designed to promote community-building that also include outdoor terraces, TV room, lounges, a living room, a library, and a kitchen. The shared kitchens allow for large dining tables and communal cooking to playing host to group meals, providing them a comfortable space for entertaining.
