GCA’s new office has 18,338 square feet for its total area. This total area enabled RMW to design and create a simple workplace. RMW also uses the company’s character to the whole interior of the office, describing the company’s vision to all people.
Built from the concept of activity-based working, the workspace contains no assigned seats. Instead, the inhabitants are situated within team-based neighborhoods.
MVRDV has a detailed development for Chongwenmen M-Cube, especially on its facade and the use of the tiles. Because of their great architecture design, they won a design competition for this shopping center in February 2012.
The plans included detailed programming with scientific end-users, field verification of available systems, new laboratory casework, relocation of major equipment, and the installation of additional utility infrastructure to accommodate research work.
This design would allow a much larger area of the monumental complex to be used as workspace, making it easier to restore other building parts to their respective original grandeur.
Such contrasting combination makes the office appears cool yet chic at the same time. The transparency of the interior also encourages communication in a conventionally privacy-oriented business.
Inspired by the industrial field in which Habraken Rutten operates, subtle graphics were translated into wool paneled cupboards to create spectacular interior views. The use of color was toned down to the bare essential.
The Building 50 has a rotating museum set in the main lobby. The museum features materials relevant to LBNL’s scientific legacy like the original wood desk used by an American physicist named Ernest Orlando Lawrence.
The workspace and the laboratory spaces are separated by a long row of modern cupboards. This kind of separation provides a possibility to make clutter-free workstations. The laboratory space is designed in a bright white space with warm skin-tones, creating an optimal concentration.
This new building is designed by VRP Architects with some awesome details to create awesome workspaces for the employees. It has a clear division that located between 4 circular office floors, a monumental stairway, a restaurant, an entrance, and 3 lower public floors.
The office area is full of lights, creating a bright workspace which is good for working. The interior design of the office with the large windows also provide an awesome access for the natural light to come inside easily.
