The house was designed following a passive solar system to save more energy. It was also designed to be fully operable with proper cross ventilation from the lake on summer days. Even during winter, the house can have strong solar access.
Exelon Gymnasium also becomes a community asset that can be a source for the generations that can be proud of. Besides providing the student life of Rowe Clark Math & Science Academy, this building can complete the entire city block urban fabric for the neighborhood around it.
The interior design for this building is also based on the company’s concept: ‘Sound Unites Us’ and ‘Sound is a Celebration of Global Diversity’. This new office is designed to facilitate the development, research, administration, and also production.
Opulent marbles and soft pastels are incorporated into the wet areas. These materials are able to reflect the original neutral palette used in the space.
With the structured juxtaposition of the used materials, the Golden Oak Residence offers order and warmth to the overall experience. It also complements the beauty and textures of the existing site.
The architecture firm also wanted to explore the plasticity of basic architectural elements without disturbing the landscape and its nature.
The interior in the collaborative areas and meeting rooms was configured to provide connections with business units that also intersect with gaming room, lounge amenities, and break rooms.
The office comes with collaborative areas intact with technology for knowledge sharing. There is also an open office area with a new sound masking system to support the head-down engineer work style.
Based on the building’s characteristics, the whole interior walls have rounded corners. That being the case, the glazed walls of the workspace offer a fluid line through the building.
The linear configuration of the apartments is 87 square meters to capture a great integration between the two programs. On the ground floor, the duplex apartment has a very generous patio while the penthouse apartment occupies the whole floor.
Dominated materials in the space are brushed and polished aluminum as well as glass and ebony wood. There is also an interesting detail in space that forms an element of artificial greenhouse garden.
