This house is not only calm but also inspiring with its artistic architecture.

Located in Funabashi, Chiba with 144 m2 in size, Funabashi Postoffice is designed by Kubo Tsushima Architects. As a Japanese post office, this building is a facility dealing with deposit, postal, and insurance services closely on the daily lives’ needs of the local resident. The window is characterized, especially its architecture design, considered as the entrance of communication.

Completed by Specht Architects, this contemporary barn is a residential project located in Wilton, Connecticut. Designed for a couple who engaged in the arts actively, she as a fashion editor and he as a broadway, this weekend retreat offers an awesome place to relax. Simple, durable, and elegant materials are used to design the entire part of the historic barn.

Villa Geldrop 9

Villa Geldrop: A Large Villa with A Clear Orientation and Strong Geometry

It is a house for a businessman and his family, designed by HofmanDujardin and completed in 2011. Villa Geldrop is a large villa with 415 m² in size that set in the Dutch countryside, Geldrop, Netherlands. It is not an ordinary house but viewed as a modern interpretation of the classic box plan that made famous by Italian renaissance architects such as Palladio, supported by the villa’s clear orientation and strong geometry.

1998 Discoteca Mantra: A Restaurant-Bar and Disco with Colorful Interiors

Designed by Álvaro Leite Siza, 1998 Discoteca Mantra is a project of a restaurant-bar and disco inside an old warehouse. The aim is to provide supporting equipment to the residential and service area. Located in Portugal, the main program is also to maintain the pre-existing building. The highlight of this project is the beautiful colorful interiors inside the building.

UB01: A Single-Level House with the Development of An Extended Front Porch

This project is started in partnership with Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) in response to receiving a HUD grant when a lot of New Orleanians were just returning to the city after Hurricane Katrina. First built during the summer of 2006, every subcontractor who worked on the first house has worked with URBANbuild ever since. UB01 employs a single-level, three-bedroom, two-bath strategy with the development of an extended front porch.

UB02: A Residential Program with A Two-Story Structure and Vertical Development

As the program’s first project in Central City, New Orleans, UB02 can represent the first step in its commitment to the neighborhood. Through this residential program, URBANbuild and a group of students from Tulane School of Architecture try to improve the quality of life for residents of Central City by designing an awesome house. This house is developed vertically with a two-story structure that creates a reduced footprint.
