Roscoe House has a welcoming entrance area with white walls and a blue door. This look-like-a-treehouse doesn’t have any clear boundary of the inside and outside area. For the result, the interior and exterior of the house are connected to each other with an awesome relationship of the design made by the architect.

The architect uses two structures to design Cloud House. These structures are interconnected by the internal courtyard of the house on the ground level and there is also an open walkway on the upper level. The living spaces can be found on the ground level and bedrooms on the upper level become a design focus in this house.

The interior spaces are joined through the materials and views around the house. Because of this, the house and coach house are connected in the same style and fashion intimately. Each of them is clad with wood veneer fiber cement panels in a different warm tone. The window openings and the aligning seams, the awesome views can be seen between them.

The new design for Cabbagetown Residence is made by eliminating the corridors then combine it with a vertical spin for the circulation. This way makes the rooms feel larger and connected to each other. The open plan is also used to connect the various rooms and keep providing a division which is soft between the spaces through the built-in elements, partial walls, and floor heights.

A lot of passive sustainable systems are used to minimize the environmental impact of the house. The layout is also reconfigured with the open riser stair and new operable windows that can maximize the natural daylighting and ventilation. With the integrated roof deck, a green roof can absorb the rainwater on a rainy day and also create a cooling effect on the upper floors.

The deck and horizontal whitened wood fence beautify the house back garden which is also defined by some planters. The planters consist of Japanese maple trees, colorful grasses, and fragrant lavender arranged to make separated rooms feeling within the larger whole of the house. The result of this exterior design is an intimate outdoor courtyard that can change in each season.

The architect works with the existing footprint of the century-old fully detached house for this project. There are only two side exterior walls are retained from the original building. Based on the form of the house neighbors and also traditional domestic scale, this house has a graphic and fresh interpretation of a traditional pitched roof complete with the clean elevation.

good balance is created with the feature fireplaces symmetry. The wood fireplace can be found in the formal sitting area that extends to the house double volume, beautified with some stacked timer logs.

The architect designs discreet and bold lighting for this villa, layered in order to evoke a contrasting feeling but also complementary moods at the same time. The subtle lighting is incorporated to give a warm glow to the villa peripheral edges. The concealed lighting is also used to accentuate and highlight the finishing touches of the natural design.

L106 is house constructed in plastered masonry and concrete painted in white. The roof is flat with an exterior covered by some local canes. The most characterize piece of the house is the wall of the entrance in Cobogo that taking advantage of the northwest orientation in creating varied shadows combination on the white walls.
