There are also a few of the custom features such as adjustable chain mail shade curtains on a trolley system, a Pickard steam injection pizza oven, mechanized fireplace doors, and triple-stacked bunk beds. These features are wrapped in an exterior of moss rock, steel, corral board, and zinc panels.

Thompson Lake House: An Elegant Single-Family Residence with Flexible and Customizable Design

The exterior and interior of the house are connected by the operable glass hangar doors. These doors can frame vistas of the distant architecture, beach, landscape, and the lake. The east and west area of the house with the south-facing 12 ft. overhangs can mitigate solar heat gain and excess sun exposure while maintaining the awesome views at the same time.

West Dune House: A Secondary Residence with Simple Volumetry and Traditional Architecture

Each window of the house overlooks a beautiful different landscape without any neighbors around. Besides the sea and dune views, the couple also can see some foxes in their house area. The roof slopes and the staircase movement can be a sculptural object in space. And from the upstairs bedroom, the couple also can enjoy the breathtaking views of the horizon.

The compact and square shape of this home also comes with a green roof. This roof is designed and inspired by the park of the neighboorhood, including the hatch for sleeping under the stars. ELLSWORTH is not only a project about a house renovation but also an addition of some house elements to create a comfortable and spacious living place.

Bronwood House: A Mid-Century Modern Home with A Partial Second-Story Addition for A Growing Family

For the interior, the architect tries to create a simple design with a natural atmosphere as much as possible. The wall, stairs, and ceiling are white and decorated with some simple details such as frames while the wooden floor is beautified with warm rugs. From the dining area, the family can enjoy the terrace view and environment around the house.

GATES: A Renovated House with Expansive Rooms and Stunning Views on A Hillside

There are some folding glass doors in the living room that open the house main floor to the rear yard. A wooden stair leads to the upper floor in the middle of the house space between the living room and dining area. In order to bring an outdoor feeling into the house, some plants with big pots are placed into some rooms of the house at the room’s corner spot.
