Futurist Architecture

This house is arranged into two interlocking volumes: a “bar” and a “cube”. These volumes can respond to the massing, scale, and setbacks of the house’s suburban context while maximizing the relationship between the distant vistas beyond and the landscape.

The spatial reverberation and dialogue between the home activities are encouraged by the apertures that strategically placed around the residence studio. The balconies, decks, terraces and the property landscapes are also encouraged by these apertures to provide more comfortable spaces for the householder.

The “stair room” is equipped with dimensions and scales of materials, display areas, and materials. These elements can enrich the experience and present the house stair. This stair acts as a sculptural element within the house center area. In conjunction with strategically located operable skylights and windows, the triple-height stair core acts to ventilate naturally and provide easy access to all floors.

The traditional farm vernacular is reflected by the brushed concrete floor and the visual continuity between the indoor and outdoor spaces is provided by the groundwood finish. These details can form a modest, uniform interior to fit the project’s general architectural atmosphere.

The main materials consist of travertine, light oak, and also white walls and ceilings. For the house exterior, a long slim format brick dominates the exterior design which contrasts the soft interior. The robust and distinctive brick exterior contrasts the surrounding rolling Danish landscape while the brickwork is divided into three distinctive brick bands.

The three forms and lime green located around the facias are separated by bright colored box gutters. These forms also frame the house beautifully. The windows of the house are covered and staggered with colored decorative window films. By adding a lot of fun details to this house, the family and their children also will get much joy.

The built-in cupboard and kitchen are custom built by Dada and Porro and imported by M Square Lifestyle Necessities from Italy. The interior design of this house is done by M Square Lifestyle Design while the modern and stylish furniture is also supplied by M Square Lifestyle Necessities for all rooms and spaces of the house.

The main bed is positioned in a recessed niche lined with textured wallpaper to create an intimate setting. All the furniture for this house is supplied by M Square Lifestyle Necessities.

Ketra system is also added to the house design with control systems and a revolutionary, fully integrated lighting that can enhance the house space by giving easy access to dynamic light. Through this project, rowland+broughton will be the first firm that uses and install the Ketra system in the residential area in Aspen.

Dominated in white surfaces and natural wood materials, the interior looks very soft and also elegant. Some details come with clean and simple lines. The placement and selection of furniture in each room are one of the most important elements to design this house interior to create a comfortable atmosphere for everyone who visits it.

The interior of Lookout is a combination of a modern style and also elegant touches. Some art collection is displayed on the white walls while the wooden floor can deliver a warm atmosphere into the whole spaces of the house. It is not only about an organized home but also about a home as a simple art gallery from the owner’s collection.
