The house space is filled up with natural light throughout the day and it is enhanced by a diamond plaster finish on the interior ceilings and walls, parallels with the minimalism idea through the materials that used.

The interior space of Over the Edge comes as basic in fixtures and finishings, allowing the furnishings and activities that will change and evolve through time to become an ever-changing curation of one’s choices and habits. The white surface from the ceiling and wall can create a natural appearance and soft atmosphere to the entire interior space.

Lattice parametric shells are created to provide the needed heat in winter but the sunlight in summer can’t get in the room of the building. The city’s visual pollution filter also becomes target-controlled by brick panels while the viewer experience a dynamic view is created by the framing of the view from the inside out, and fluidity of the parametrically expanded patterns and frame.

This house has two main structures and it is also designed with lifted elements. These elements can create an illusion as if the house is floating in the middle of the forest around the site and also create a covered outside space. This covered outside space can be used as an additional place for relaxing and entertaining.

On the exterior, the natural cedar siding is stained in the warm gray of the native shadows and plants. Basecamp is designed with thoughtful, simple forms. These forms clad in regional materials to deliver a unique look. The house form is supported on the concrete shear walls and slender steel columns, touching the site delicately and allowing the slope to flow. A deep overhang adjusted can be found on the south side, welcoming the sun in winter and shading the interior in summer. It is a strategy that works with an airtight envelope, photovoltaic panels, and geothermal heating to approach the net-zero energy use.

The archways and circular sit-outs can reflect the curvilinear organic language of the roof and enable the smooth flow of spaces between the interior spaces at the same time. An earthy color palette is combined with the minimalistic approach to ornamentation, composed of walnut wood finishes, beige floor tiles, and white walls. The interior setting is in sync with the external elements and organic forms, while the luxurious living spaces and sophisticated ornamentation are combined to provide a comfortable royal residence.

The strong structural geometry of the house is combined with the minimalism of built forms. The finishes allow the interior and architecture to blend with the surrounding landscape where Yin and Yang meet in the living spaces.
