Designed for a couple and their two children, Woodhouse is a striking rural country house located near Creemore, Ontario in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. With a modern addition and existing 19th-century wood log cabin, this house sits in a large clearing on a heavily wooded 90-acre site. Superkül uses a warm, textured material palette to reflect the affable and lively spirit of the clients through this house.
This awesome house is located on 16 scenic acres on the Niagara Escarpment, Mulmur, ON. House at Springhill is designed as a retreat by Superkül for a couple with grown children. It is a fresh interpretation of the Ontario farmhouse with 3,500 SF in size that replaces an old family cottage with its steeply pitched roofline.
This project is a continuation of research conducted by the Tulane University School of Architecture’s residential design-build program. Located in 1920 Harmony Street, New Orleans, the mission of UB14 is to design and build a single-family dwelling with two bathrooms and bedrooms. A team from URBANbuild also offers one of the significant strengths of this house: adaptability.
These five ‘sphinxes’ are apartment buildings designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects and completed in 2004. Lakeshore Housing The Sphinxes is an awesome project that consists of 65 apartments in 5 buildings on the water. The result of this project is apartments with maximizing unobstructed views and a sphinx-like profile.
This project focuses on the development and continuation of the previous year’s URBANBuild project. UB15 is a single level infill prototype that produces dense urban multifamily options with duplex, triplex, or extended multifamily assemblies. This prototype is designed with a flexible floorplan and generous volume.
Located on Voordijk in Barendrecht, the brief for this temporary care center is to create an environment that can offer a comfortable place for families to gather and relax. Ronald McDonald House Barendrecht is designed by Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur, completed in June 2007 with 900 m2 in size. The exterior walls of the house are made of wood and glass, allowing warm daylight to enter the house spaces easily.
It is a renovation project of an 85-year-old house in Gauteng, South Africa. Parktown North is renovated by Hugo Hamity Architects and completed in 2005. This house has an architectural design that respects the plan layout of the original house and materials such as prestressed steel ceilings.
41 special apartments with a village-like character have been designed by Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur in the neighborhood of Buren for the Housing cooperation of Tiel. Residences Allardhof Buren is a 2014 project with 6.700 m² in size. The basic materials from the surrounding neighborhood are used for the structure of this building.
Designed in collaboration with ZOETMULDER, this existing L-shaped farm is redeveloped into a residential home. Farm Grubbehoeve Banholt is located in the hilly countryside of Limburg with 800 m2 in size. The caree farm’s authentic shape is restored in a contemporary way and high-quality sustainable materials are also used to complete the design. This project is in collaboration with local artisans, locally available materials, and local techniques.
