The landscape is designed with the ideas from Tom Stuart Smith. The concrete retaining wall can wrap the courtyard on the exposed side of the house. It provides the seating area and also a pool complete with two stacked bronze water tanks.

The living area is the place for three main rooms inside Chalet Bolton-Est. They are a kitchen, living room, and also a dining room. The living area can be called as an open area too because of the easy access to the terrace through the door.

The characteristic of rustic and chic design can be seen in the sliding doors of the small bathroom. The pattern on the floor tiles makes this little bathroom looks cute. The element of wood also can be found on the ceiling and the bathroom sink.

Santa Ynez Barn is chosen directly from the New Hampshire farm. This barn was transported, reassembled, and deconstructed on the top of 4-1/2 foot steel columns which are tall. The barn orientation is also designed well by the architect to get the best result based on the construction plan.

Natural materials of Chalet Cedrus can be seen clearly on the house stair. The stair is a combination of wood and glass material. The wooden steps match with the wooden frame and ceiling in the living room near it.

Seeing the living space, it is obvious that the firm in charge intended to blend traditional Japanese elements with contemporary design for the interior. The Japanese elements are seen through the wood paneling, tatami mats, and shoji screens.

The grassy landscape and the Pacific Ocean offer a serene and calming view to enjoy for the house occupants.

Studio Carver creates a roof deck right at the roof area of the home. The design of the roof floor is so natural and unique. This area is also designed with an open space style too to get the best view of Pacific and Point Lobos.

As opposed to the contemporary living space, the dining area here is dominated by wood materials, from the floor and walls to the ceiling and furniture. It also overlooks the mesmerizing landscape outside thanks to the large window panels.
