In order to make the building merges with the traditional surrounding environment, the team arranged the roofs of the hotel complex in a regular way.

Timber acted as the dominated material used in the rooftop extension. Flax insulation was incorporated into the construction as well. All facades and roofing were covered with untreated Larch cladding.

The plan of Ashtree Passive House is made a good detail. It shows the size of the house, each room, and also the division of every area. The Trailer is clad in corrugated fiberglass and steel on the outside, while inside, it is lined in used but cleaned shuttering ply.

The design of Zakin Residence is built in an efficient area. It will minimize the impact on the natural landscape around the site. The architect uses trees, natural landforms, and also native grasses extensively for this project.

The architect uses cantilevered sheets of flexible plywood for the 5 cm balustrade of the stair’s thin. The plywood is laminated and sheathed with the drywall. The curves create a complex geometry with the flat ceiling plates and the sloped.

The addition of volumetric brick has carved overhangs and inset windows. The addition was also designed to create critical shading on the south side of the house while providing more openness to the yard in the process.

Due to the glass façade, natural light can enter freely and flood the interior from every corner. It also offers the forest views and creates airy space that feels a lot closer to nature.

The design approach is used to create a distinct and modern style. The grey stain on the oak millwork is cleaned to serve a walkway to the kitchen area. The original kitchen has been removed and it is replaced with space with light filled. It opens to the original dining area and also the yard.

The whole interior design of Condo Louis-Hébert is about giving a comfortable large space for them who use it. The use of room divider is minimized as possible, to give more free spaces to move. The walls are also not left empty, there are a lot of artworks that you can see on the walls of this private house.
