This design would allow a much larger area of the monumental complex to be used as workspace, making it easier to restore other building parts to their respective original grandeur.

The Building 50 has a rotating museum set in the main lobby. The museum features materials relevant to LBNL’s scientific legacy like the original wood desk used by an American physicist named Ernest Orlando Lawrence.

This new building is designed by VRP Architects with some awesome details to create awesome workspaces for the employees. It has a clear division that located between 4 circular office floors, a monumental stairway, a restaurant, an entrance, and 3 lower public floors.

The office area is full of lights, creating a bright workspace which is good for working. The interior design of the office with the large windows also provide an awesome access for the natural light to come inside easily.

The large windows around the buildings are not only creating an elegant design for the interior but also allowing the beautiful view around the building to be seen clearly. The big staircases also offer a great view of the ground floor below.

Completed in May 2014, the building is situated on a skinny-mid town lot, establishing a substantial entry court on the East End intact with its shade and seating.

MVRDV tries to design a building by adding some nostalgic remembrance elements to improve the special experience for all visitors. When the adults enter Glass Farm, they will feel a small child size once again in their own life with a lot of childhood memories pass by.

The project starts with the building structure. The two largest volumes have been demolished, creating a good connection between the buildings through the new central area. This new central area is a location of the new main entrance.

The 14,827 facility center also has a large open auditorium that can be used for smaller events as well. Move to the second floor, there is office space for the Office of Education that is in charge of the oversight and management of continuing education programs for the whole healthcare system.
