We’ve all found bugs in our home. From roaches to spiders and ants, these little pests seemingly find their way in and set up camp. But what about the bugs you maybe haven’t noticed crawling around?

Unfortunately, inside of every home are bugs that are trying to take over your living spaces. They sneak inside in the most unexpected ways and begin to multiply.

Luckily, you can contact a professional to help you solve your buggiest of problems. But first, learn about which types of bugs are likely in your home and the signs they leave behind.

Keep reading to learn about five disgusting types of bugs in your home.

  1. Centipedes

These bugs look like they came straight out of a horror movie. They typically have 15 legs and can move across your floor rather quickly. Making them not only terrifying but also hard to catch.

You typically won’t see an infestation of centipedes, but they will travel into your home through any cracks or crevices that are open to the outside. They love moisture, so if you have a leak in a wall or moisture buildup, you are creating the perfect environment for this crawly critter.

  1. Beetles

Did you know that beetles are the most common insect in the world? This means they aren’t exclusive to the outside. Beetles range from all types and sizes, and there are likely some in your home.

Common beetles found inside are carpet beetles. They love to hang out in your pantry, eating your dried goods like flour or cereal. You may also find them in your carpet or the corners of your closet.

  1. Cockroaches

Roaches seem to be some of the worst pests out there. Not only do cockroaches carry diseases, but they will destroy things like paper and fabric and can even cause allergy attacks.

There are a variety of different cockroaches, and they often come in multiples. A sight of a few cockroaches means you need to make an immediate call to pest control.

  1. Silverfish

Silverfish are slippery looking little bugs that stay hidden during the day. They tend to come out at night and feast on a wide variety of things in your home like cereal, boxes, paper, fabric, and even glue.

Silverfish like to hide out in areas that don’t get a lot of human attention like basements or attics. Even underneath furniture or things in your closet.

  1. Flies

Flies may seem harmless at first, but if ignored, these flying bugs will quickly multiply and start to cause a problem. From the common housefly to fruit flies, it’s no secret that they are annoying.

But did you know that flies can cause food poisoning? These nasty little bugs carry lots of diseases, and they love to hang out around your drains, your garbage, or even sunny windows.

These are just a few of the types of bugs often found in homes. And although this information might be disturbing to learn, it is also vital that you keep an eye out for these insects so that you can keep your family safe.
