HIBINOSEKKEI + Youji no Shiro was responsible for constructing Ty Nursery in Mie, Japan.
The nursery facility takes the surroundings inside the building by setting up spaces that open to nature.
Take this open dining room for example. Aside from providing the space for children to enjoy their meals while interacting with the peers or tutors, the dining room opens up to the beauty of surrounding nature. In short, they can feel closer to the rich natural environment due to the open atmosphere in the space.
This expansive atrium space has a series of small lockers to organize the children’s belongings. They also conduct many indoor activities here.
The nursery facility has a construction resembles a small house with kitchen. Here the children can watch the simple cooking processes and interact with the cook.
