From the location to the size and details, the house is crafted to look exactly like a farmhouse. In 1992, YH2 Architecture finished constructing a house located in St. Eustache, Quebec. Designed on an 1800 square foot area, the house is filled with farm atmosphere. Aside from that, it also exudes artistic touch which is what the clients expected the firm to deliver through the construction.

YH2 Architecture was asked to construct a living place for a couple that is interested in naïve art.

The house is surrounded by tall trees, earning a sense of calm and serene neighborhood. It also blends well with the green and grassy landscape.

With that being the case, the firm designed the First house that includes the element of naïve art in both the house’s exterior and interior.

You can see how the superimposition of the farm representation in the house establishes a language that is simple yet slightly disturbing.
