The new Michelle Obama Branch Library was designed by LPA Inc in Long Beach, California. It was intended to replace the previous North Branch Library which did not provide enough spaces for community gatherings, optimized children’s services, and a teen space. Finished in 2016, the library is presented for everyone who loves to enjoy good books while gathering with other people.
The Michelle Obama Branch Library
This new library comes with a single story sized 25,000 square feet.
It houses the art facility featuring dynamic public spaces with effective sustainable and timeless design approach.
An Engaging Building for All
Technology has been incorporated into the library system. In terms of that, you can see 3D printing and public access computers.
The library also features kiosk check-out stations, three public meeting rooms, family learning center, and other public spaces. The new Michelle Obama Branch Library uses themed children’s and young adult library to attract that particular age group.
For adults, there is a separate library and reading room. It also has efficient staff areas and enticing external and internal public spaces.
