AIM Architecture was in charge of designing a clothing/fashion store for a new brand under ZUCZUG. The fashion brand is called Klee Klee which means ‘slow down’ in Tibetan. Finished in December 2016, this 81-sqm store is located in Shanghai, China.
Klee Klee
The client expected a concept to entice the city dwellers who want to slow down their lives and reconnect with natural rhythms and lifestyle which is offered by Klee Klee.
Bearing that in mind, AIM Architecture created a store design that reflects a day to day habit of a person who lives by ‘klee klee’ idea.
A Simple Reflection on Balance
The store can be perceived as a place with a simple reflection on balance. It uses whitewashed to perfectly showcase the imperfect texture.
When it comes to the furniture, Klee Klee is inspired by the materials used by Chinese builders on building sites.
Tent-Like Fitting Rooms
There are two tent-like fitting rooms available in the store. One comes in round shape, while the other is square. The tents are also moveable and can be placed anywhere in the store.
Routines of Domesticity
The architectural firm emphasized the routines of domesticity through the design by creating tea drinking space, a little sleeping quarter, a working space, and a storage room. They wanted to let people know that Klee Klee is not only a retail shop but also a place to manifest a real-life experience.
