Raffles Pizza Express: A Restaurant with Dining in A Park Theme

AIM Architecture has successfully completed the designing project of Raffles Pizza Express in November 2014. The dining spot is situated in one well-known shopping mall in Shanghai, China. Through the design, the firm wanted to offer a dining in a park theme through a stylish and fun atmosphere provided by the restaurant.

Raffles Pizza Express is situated on the 3^rd floor of Shanghai’s infamous downtown shopping mall. Through the huge windows installed in the restaurant, people can see the view of n a nearby park and tree tops. The windows also bring natural light inside and create a bright atmosphere in return.

Picnic Areas

With the ‘dining in the park’ concept, the architectural firm explored the spatial organization and created terrazzo ‘picnic areas’. The ‘picnic areas’ then uses to break the open space and create more secluded dining areas.

The Checkered Pattern

Raffles Pizza Express showcase checkered patterns on the fabrics used to adorn the interior. It also displays a splash of colors to provide a fun and stylish space for a casual pizza experience.
