Furniture for the National Audiovisual Institute (NInA) is a furniture project by Atelier Starzak Strebicki for the National Audiovisual Institute’s new building. Based on a result of research amongst users of the space and a balance principle, now this new building is filled with dominant and neutral colors to create a balance look.
Concept
The principle of balance is used and applied to this project as the best answer to the needs of employees. This concept also can provide a balance between dominant and neutral colors, untypical forms and standardized, and different character between spaces for the visiting NInA guests and employees.
Furniture
The colorful mobile couches are located between different zones of the building that turn into the foremost bonding element. While the rest of the white and black plywood furniture is related to the recognized functional needs of the Institute’s employees strictly, providing them comfortable furniture in working.
There are more than forty different models of furniture are designed to beautify this new building: couches, hotel room furniture, wardrobes, kitchen furniture, desks, tables. The furniture is not only answering the needs of NInA employees but also facilitating them and the guests with comfortable furniture as one of the best things that can be provided by the institute.
